We have been acting as Planning Supervisors since the introduction in 1995 of the Construction, Design and Management Regulations (commonly known as the CDM Regs).
Following the revision of the regulations in 2007 we have updated our services to provide a CDM Consultancy service.
We actively review the site and design with the Client and designers to consider and remove hazards, improve build-ability and ease maintenance. We identify project specific issues which are highlighted to ensure the Contractor addresses them. Quality not quantity.
Recent projects have included:
- Demolition of a town centre cinema
- Refurbishment of a very badly fire damaged, listed, 8 storey bonded warehouse that required façade support and access into the structure from the top in a city centre with no working space while constructing two adjacent multi-storey blocks on steeply sloping sites between a river and an overhead railway line.
- Raising the height and totally re-cladding the exterior of a multi-storey office block in a busy town centre location while building an adjacent multi-storey block — all without working space.
- Refurbishment of hospital wards
- Refurbishment of a Grade 1 listed museum.
- Refurbishment of a police custody suite in phases as the suite was kept operational at all times.
As can be seen we have worked on some interesting and challenging projects.
